So Raphael is Mephistopheles’ son according to Haarlep.
Haarlep said that Raphael tells him everything. Haarlep was sent by Mephistopheles “to distract” Raphael. I assume he reports everything as well.
Raphael grumbles about Mephistopheles being “ever the archivist” by turning the crown into a “museum piece” instead of using it.
Has his own “museum” of interesting artifacts he doesn’t use and, according to his own archivist, people can just. Come and look at them. (I guess if you’re able to make the harrowing journey to hell you might as well sight see….)
Raphael actively collects things related to Karsus, but the crown was specifically taken by his father
Gortash runs away from Raphael and steals the one thing Raphael has wanted for aeons.
The whole situation just feels silly. Raphael complaining about his father’s quirks while being exactly like his father. Mephistopheles taking a dangerous toy away from a child who isn’t mature enough to use it, only for his child’s ward to be just as much of a little shit and steal it for himself. A gaggle of devils and devil adjacents caused the near end of the worlds because of a petty family squabble.
if you made a vow to give your body to haarlep, you’ll get a random event cutscene where you have to make a constitution check to not moan out loud in public

there are many, many funny things about kingdom hearts, but for me the funniest part is in any scene where there’s supposed to be a big crowd but the devs didn’t want to model literally anyone so it’s just a huge empty room with only the absolutely necessary characters there
For a second I didn’t realize it meant “high” as in a stoner–I thought “High Geologist” was like a rank of geologist or something and he was insulted you would challenge him to naming stones
